Founder and managing director of EPR, Johan Booysen, started a small electronic installation company in the early ’90’s called Electrotec Electronics. Due to the dedication and passion of Johan, this company rapidy expanded and he was later joined by his wife Karien as financial director.
In 1994 the company Elect Protect Response was born and consentrated on the installation of all electronic intruder detection equipment. It was soon realised that the need for an own control centre and armed response service existed and in 1996 these services were offered to clients in Randfontein only.
Over the years EPR expanded its services to Westonaria and later to Krugersdorp and certain areas of Roodepoort.
In 2007 EPR moved form its original offices in Park Street, to new purpose build, state of the art, facilities in Fiat Street, Aureus, Randfontein.
Today EPR has more than 28 armed response vehicles deployed on a 24/7 basis and employees more than a 150 dedicated and fully trained staff compliment.
